What if the future we’re building is also building us?
Two years after her first visit to Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell, dancer, artist, and creator Kristen Mangione — The Dance Alchemist — returns for a beautiful exploration of creativity, movement, presence, and what happens when the work we create begins speaking back to us.
Our conversation was inspired by Kristen’s recent Artist’s Letters, where she shares the discoveries emerging from her own creative process rather than simply reporting what she has done or promoting what comes next.
Together, we explore some wonderfully expansive questions:
✨ What happens when we revisit something we created years ago and discover it still has something to teach us?
✨ Can the future we are creating actually participate in shaping who we become?
✨ What happens when the clock becomes irrelevant and we become completely absorbed in an experience?
✨ What is the difference between **doing** and truly **being**?
✨ Can an old story remain part of our history without continuing to organize our future?
✨ What changes when movement becomes ceremony — art that is not simply observed, but inhabited?
Michelle also brings these ideas into conversation with BioEnergetic Wellness (BEW) and its person-led, future-oriented approach to wellbeing. Rather than prescribing what someone should become, what might happen when we create the conditions for awareness, possibility, organization, and new experiences to emerge?
🫖 Our CommuniTEA Pause: 1897 GenerosiTEA
“Open your heart to hope and optimism, for your resilience and pure generosity inspires others.”
We highlight currant and apple as we consider resilience, possibility, nourishment, creativity, and the seeds of a future that may already be present within what we are creating today.
Kristen also invites us into the beautiful idea that perhaps we don't always need more time.
Perhaps we need a different relationship with time — moments when attention finds a home, the clock becomes irrelevant, and we are fully inside the life we are living.
And we leave you with an invitation:
What have you already created that might be waiting for you to return and listen again?
Don't return to critique it.
Return with curiosity.
It may have something to say to the person you have become.
