Laura, welcome to the limitless women podcast. Our mission is to help women business owners like you grow profitable businesses and actualize your opportunities to serve and give to yourself and others. Here's your host, the founder of limitless women, Laura Gisborne,
Laura Gisborne:I often get asked, How do you get it all done? You know, this was a different conversation when I was a young mother and a wife and a volunteer and working in the school board. I mean, it was a little different Season of Life. Today, I'm mature. My kids are growing up. So it can be way easier today, but it still is easy to get overwhelmed as an entrepreneur. So in this video, I want to share with you a few of the hints, the things that have helped me to stay on track and find balance and some more peace of mind as I'm growing my company, as I'm growing my impact in the world, the first thing I want you to consider is, how are you doing with your self care? Now I have lots of videos on self care. If you're interested, let me know. We'll send one to you, but I'll tell you that self care is one of those things that's non negotiable. Our body carries our soul. It carries our spirit. It's really important that it has nourishment, that it has rest. I meet way too many women who are struggling with their self care. And the reality is that self care has to come first. When you fill up your own well you can get from the overflow, and if you don't have time for this, you better figure out how to restructure your time. We all get the same 24 hours in the day, and we make time for the things that are important to us. Unfortunately, when we don't take care of ourselves, our bodies start to shut down, and I don't want to see that happening for you as a leader of an impact driven business, we need you. We need you to do what you're here to do, which means you've got to keep yourself strong and be the leader that you're here to be. The other thing that I want you to do is think about your self care with your time for prayer, meditation, guidance. You know, just that quiet time you need more white space in your calendar. You know, the days can be full, but we when we make this a priority and we do it First all, the other things start to come together, right? And
Laura Gisborne:the reality is, we build our businesses around our lives. It's one of the great luxuries of being an entrepreneur versus having to go to an office every day, right? We get to work. We want to work. We get to work with whom we want to work. I think these things are really important for you to recognize, and sometimes it just seems a little tough when you're just getting started. I'm here to tell you, after decades of entrepreneurship, it does get easier. You start to have the systems around your time. You start to find the freedom to take care of yourself as a priority, and the whole rest of the world start rises up to meet you. The other thing I want to share with you is that you will get more of what you focus on. So this isn't from the land of airy fairy. You know, I moved from Sedona, Arizona after 17 years, and people ask me often, are you a law of attraction coach? It's like, No, I don't even know what that is, but that is, but I can tell you that Sedona is a place where people come from all over the world because they feel closer to God. And what we want to do is remember the gifts of what we have each and every day, because we will manifest more of that in our lives. So when you practice what we call granular gratitude, when you recognize the good things that are happening for you each and every day. You know, they often come in random things like today, while I was getting ready to shoot this video, I was looking for this thing that's like a light reflector that I hadn't seen for years. And I said to Chris, I said, I think it's in the attic. I popped up there, and there it was. And one of my affirmations is that everything I need is always provided. You know, I just want you to think about recognizing the good things when they happen, having a little more peace of mind. Focus on what is working instead of what we do all too often, which is focus on what's not enough. And know that you've got this. I'm Laura Gisborne. If I can be of support to you in
Laura Gisborne:any way, please don't hesitate to reach out. We've got years of resources that we've gotten a beautiful library we're happy to share with you whatever you need next to grow your business and grow your impact.
