Highlights from today's episode include:
-
Jenna consciously broke generational patterns of instability and alcoholism by choosing a loyal, consistent partner and creating a safe, loving home for her son.
-
Jenna teaches that healing is a personal responsibility—she forgave her mother without ever receiving an apology, recognizing that staying in resentment only keeps her in pain.
-
Manon: You emphasize that conventional medicine often manages disease rather than truly healing, and that real healing must include the physical, biological, and spiritual dimensions of a person.
Jenna Brocious is originally from the Northwest and moved to Arizona at age 19. She loves the great weather and the opportunities to pursue an active outdoor lifestyle. She attended the University of Phoenix and earned a degree in business management, knowing she prefers to be her own boss.
Jenna is a wife, mother, creative, and entrepreneur. She has worn many hats while searching for her purpose outside the home. With a very supportive husband, Jenna has had the time and flexibility to deeply reflect on her true calling. In 2022, she launched her Etsy shop selling positive-intention prayer cards. In 2024, she completed her first book about her experiences with generational trauma. Jenna is also a big animal lover and has two goldendoodle dogs. She dreams of someday having her own mini farm.
Jenna enjoys participating in charity work and values giving back, having been a recipient of kindness in her younger years. She currently serves on the board of Folds of Honor.
Core purpose/passion: I believe my purpose is to help, heal, and spread love.
Here to help others, guide them to find their own healing, and then there is more room within yourself to love and spread more love to others.

intro: Welcome to the Healers Cafe: Conversations on Help and
00:00:08
Healing at Manob Bolliger, a retired and deregistered
00:00:12
naturopathic physician with 30 plus years of experience. Here
00:00:18
you will discover engaging and informative conversations
00:00:21
between experienced healers, covering all aspects of healing,
00:00:27
the personal journey, the journey of the practitioner, and
00:00:31
the amazing possibilities for our own body and spirit.
00:00:44
Manon Bolliger: So welcome to the Healers Cafe, and today I
00:00:48
have with me Jenna Brocious and she is a spiritual guide who has
00:00:55
basically based her knowledge on many different experiences that
00:01:03
have led her to her path. Originally, she was from the
00:01:08
northwest, then moved to Arizona when she was quite young, 19.
00:01:13
Went to University of Phoenix and realized that she would
00:01:18
rather be an entrepreneur and have control over her, you know
00:01:22
her her life in that sense. She's also a mother. She's a
00:01:28
wife, and she has created an Etsy shop selling positive
00:01:34
intention prayers, prayer cards. So I think that's it for the
00:01:39
intro. I want to jump right in. It didn't take much to just
00:01:46
explore how you know healing comes in so many forms. We have
00:01:54
the you know the conventional medical paradigm, and some don't
00:01:58
call that healing. I would agree. It's more like how to die
00:02:02
or how to manage disease, but it's really not much about
00:02:06
healing at all. If we think about it, sometimes you keep
00:02:10
things in a stagnant spot. Often, though, it really is part
00:02:16
of the cause of your death and the accelerated death path. So,
00:02:21
so as far as I'm concerned, I'm always looking at on all levels,
00:02:26
physical, biological, but also spiritual, you know, paths that
00:02:35
lead us to a healing. So that's it. I'm going to pass it to you
00:02:41
and welcome.
00:02:43
Jenna Brocious: Thank you so much. I appreciate being here
00:02:45
today. It's I enjoy sharing my story because it is not linear.
00:02:49
It is ups and downs and roller coasters, and I think that's
00:02:52
real life. And it's not always pretty, but here we are. And I
00:02:57
agree that I think through my healing journey, I've also
00:02:59
allowed myself to become more healthy and to become more
00:03:03
loving because I had space to love more other people more.
00:03:08
Yeah, the healing journey has been interesting. I really had
00:03:10
the opportunity when I became a mother to realize I was holding
00:03:15
my mom to an expectation she had never agreed to, and then when I
00:03:20
became a mother myself. It just really bombarded me with
00:03:23
feelings of how I don't want to give my son the home environment
00:03:28
that I was raised in, and I had to change that. And that change
00:03:31
started with me. And my husband gave me the opportunity to stay
00:03:38
at home and be a stay-at-home mom. So I would take my son to
00:03:41
preschool, and I made a commitment to myself that I
00:03:44
would sit on my office floor for six months, three times a week,
00:03:49
and just sit in silence and journal and pray and meditate.
00:03:54
And it really just opened up my eyes to all the answers I was
00:03:57
looking for in the outside world were actually all within me, and
00:04:01
so it just gave me the opportunity to really journal
00:04:04
out all those things that I had maybe had stuck in my head and
00:04:08
in my heart for so so long. Sorry,
00:04:12
Manon Bolliger: no, no, don't apologize, but maybe share what
00:04:17
what are you actually experiencing now as as you share
00:04:21
all this,
00:04:23
Jenna Brocious: I think it's the truth within me, and I there's
00:04:28
something that it makes me shaky right now. But just the healing
00:04:34
process and the truth was really always there, and I was just
00:04:38
running and hiding from
00:04:42
Manon Bolliger: it. So, so, what did you feel like? You you
00:04:45
mentioned your the expectations you held your mother, in which I
00:04:49
think it's it is always when we have our own kids that we go,
00:04:53
oh, yikes, you know, maybe she did do the best she could with
00:04:58
what she knew and what was available. And you know the
00:05:01
intentions were there. You know it just it got translated
00:05:05
differently. All of that, right? But when you're you're doing it
00:05:10
yourself, you you're acutely aware of of all of that. But is
00:05:15
that the primary? Is that the the door into your healing
00:05:20
journey, that particular, you know, I always find that there's
00:05:25
a door that opens up all the doors.
00:05:31
Jenna Brocious: Yes, actually, when I realized that I was
00:05:34
holding her to an expectation that she didn't agree to, I
00:05:37
started to really sit with that, and then I started to sit with
00:05:40
her mother and her childhood, and I really started to look at.
00:05:45
She really did do the best that she could with what she was
00:05:48
given, and she wasn't given a lot.
00:05:51
Manon Bolliger: And
00:05:51
Jenna Brocious: so I really started to have empathy for her.
00:05:54
I really started to like. I was able to like apologize and
00:05:59
release and let it all go because I was being hard on her
00:06:04
for absolutely no reason. Because once again, she did the
00:06:07
best she could with what she had, and if she did not have an
00:06:11
easy childhood by any means as well, and so I just really
00:06:15
started to have that empathy and understand her better, and then
00:06:18
it actually builded our relationship into a better
00:06:20
relationship due to that happening.
00:06:24
Manon Bolliger: So, was your own childhood a difficult one?
00:06:28
Jenna Brocious: Yes, I was raised by a single mother who
00:06:31
was an alcoholic and had a revolving door of men. So, my
00:06:34
life was constantly moving and changing. I really didn't have a
00:06:37
lot of safety or consistency in my childhood, so that's
00:06:40
something I seeked as an adult, and with my husband, who is the
00:06:44
most consistent, loyal person I've ever met, and couldn't have
00:06:48
picked a better partner for me because that's truly what I
00:06:51
needed to feel grounded and safe as an adult.
00:06:54
Manon Bolliger: Yeah, it's unusual that it goes that you
00:06:57
know. Usually, you you kind of repeat the pattern.
00:07:03
Jenna Brocious: I wrote a whole book about not repeating the
00:07:05
patterns that I had been raised in. My grandmother was a single
00:07:08
mother,
00:07:09
Manon Bolliger: so
00:07:10
Jenna Brocious: just like I had to break these patterns for my
00:07:12
son, so that my son has an opportunity to have a bigger and
00:07:15
better loving life.
00:07:18
Manon Bolliger: So, so what? What? I mean, it sounds easy.
00:07:22
Sure, we'll break a pattern. You know, you're aware of it. You
00:07:26
don't want to do it, but how did you break it? How did it really
00:07:31
manifest in you to be able to break that pattern?
00:07:35
Jenna Brocious: I think just making different choices. I saw
00:07:37
my mother. I say my mother taught me everything not to do
00:07:40
in life, and I enjoy the contrast in that. But she really
00:07:46
taught me everything not to do in life, and I saw a lot of
00:07:48
things as a child that I was like, "That isn't okay. That's
00:07:52
not how that should be. And so it was really just learning how
00:07:56
to like become independent on my own, be able to take care of
00:07:59
myself, be able to make rational decisions without just flying
00:08:05
off the handle and being reactive. I was raised by a lot
00:08:09
of reactive people, and so, and I also still to this day am
00:08:13
working on that as well. But it was just seeing all the things
00:08:17
that I knew weren't okay. I had to change them for myself, and
00:08:21
somehow by the grace of God, I have changed it. I've been
00:08:24
married for 12 years now, and I have a very sweet husband that
00:08:27
deals with a lot.
00:08:32
Manon Bolliger: Well, you know, I think people choose each
00:08:34
other, right? At some level of consciousness, yeah. So there's
00:08:40
got to be something in it for him, as a growth factor too. You
00:08:46
know, it's not um, it's not just a one way. It never is.
00:08:49
Jenna Brocious: No, and I'm definitely a very strong,
00:08:51
independent woman, and he is a people pleaser. So we have
00:08:56
worked on each other for sure. So I agree with you. It goes
00:09:00
both ways.
00:09:01
Manon Bolliger: Yeah, yeah. So that's a that's interesting that
00:09:04
you are not the the people pleaser.
00:09:09
Jenna Brocious: You know what? I realized in my early 20s that I
00:09:11
was a people pleaser because I never wanted to go home because
00:09:15
my home environment was so erratic that I would anything to
00:09:19
stay at a friend's house. So I would clean the house. I would
00:09:22
do anything to not go home. So I have realized that being a
00:09:26
people pleaser does not serve us. And my favorite, no. And I'm
00:09:31
trying to teach my husband that
00:09:33
Manon Bolliger: one. Oh, okay, okay. So you went through it
00:09:36
basically. Yeah,
00:09:38
Jenna Brocious: to acknowledge it.
00:09:41
Manon Bolliger: So you you mentioned at the beginning that
00:09:44
you know there were ups and there were downs and there's
00:09:47
multitude of paths. Do you want to sort of take us through to
00:09:53
when the path kind of led to your your vision of you know.
00:10:00
Like there's healing, and then suddenly, it's like you are part
00:10:04
of the the healers in in a sense, right? You're able to
00:10:11
bring that out so that other people get helped.
00:10:15
Jenna Brocious: Yeah, God laid it on my heart to write a book
00:10:18
about my childhood, and I had always joked about how crazy it
00:10:21
was. It's a really fun story to read for somebody that didn't
00:10:24
have to live through it. And so I finally made the decision to
00:10:28
write a book and really share all of the steps and all the
00:10:31
journeys of my healing process. And even writing the book
00:10:36
brought up all of those emotions I thought I had dealt with on
00:10:39
the floor of my office years ago, and here I was dealing with
00:10:43
them all over again, writing this book and realizing I only
00:10:46
had two pictures with my dad when I was a baby because I
00:10:49
started going through photos to try and put it all back together
00:10:52
again, and it just reopened up all the things. But then it just
00:10:57
gave me so much more wisdom and understanding and gratitude that
00:11:02
I was just so blessed to be able to share that with other people
00:11:06
because I think we all don't open up enough, but if we were
00:11:10
to open up more, we'd realize how much we all have in common.
00:11:13
Manon Bolliger: Right. Yeah, and and that part of humanity, you
00:11:19
know, and because you say that in the end, it's you know it's
00:11:22
love that connects things. Can you sort of expand from in your
00:11:28
own kind of words what that is really about the essence of that
00:11:33
statement?
00:11:35
Jenna Brocious: Well, my three were well, my words are help,
00:11:37
heal, and spread love. And I think once I was able to help
00:11:41
myself and heal. I was able to open up my heart so much more to
00:11:45
more love, more love for my husband, and understanding more
00:11:49
love for my child in a more playful, joyful way. It really
00:11:55
just healing, and I think healing is such a personal
00:11:58
responsibility that we all have to hold within ourselves. I had
00:12:02
to forgive my mom, and she's never apologized. She'll never
00:12:05
apologize. She'll never admit, and that's okay. But for my own
00:12:09
self, I know that she is not proud of some of the things that
00:12:14
have happened. But I accept her apology, and it was my own
00:12:20
responsibility to move forward without ever having those
00:12:24
conversations, and I think that's such a big part of
00:12:27
healing. Is our own? We have to take our own responsibility for
00:12:30
it.
00:12:31
Manon Bolliger: Yeah. Well, I mean, the end. It's it's we're
00:12:33
the ones who suffer if we don't, right? So, yeah. I mean, so for
00:12:37
sure. But but there's also like self love, right? Because in the
00:12:45
in the terms of your relationship at the time with
00:12:48
your mom, your self love would have been affected, right?
00:12:56
Jenna Brocious: Yes, I will say I have to admit I've always had
00:13:00
God in my life. My mom used to take me to church and drop me
00:13:02
off on my own, and I would be a little girl and go to church on
00:13:05
Sunday by myself. So it's such a funny, but so I think I've
00:13:11
always had that like strength in His presence that my self worth
00:13:15
really never suffered, which I find so interesting as a grown
00:13:18
adult now and looking back on it, because I knew I was worthy,
00:13:24
even though my surroundings did not show that.
00:13:27
Manon Bolliger: Interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because that's
00:13:31
that's an obvious step that many people need to take, right? Is
00:13:35
that you know? But you went straight to more loving to your
00:13:39
husband, more loving to your son, and I was saying, but very
00:13:43
interesting. Yeah. So tell us a little bit about the these
00:13:48
prayer cards and what is it? What is praying in your mind?
00:13:56
Jenna Brocious: Well, I struggled during COVID because I
00:13:58
felt like some of the prayers I were getting were like so
00:14:02
doomsday, and the words were such a negative connotation, and
00:14:06
I really didn't like that. And so I just started writing
00:14:10
positive prayers that had more uplifting words, better, more
00:14:16
powerful statements, and a positive reflection. And so I
00:14:20
just thought if I could make one person smile, or make them not
00:14:23
feel alone, or elevate them to have a better mindset, then I,
00:14:29
then I was doing my job. I was doing my work. That was from my
00:14:32
heart, and that was me spreading love on a different level in a
00:14:36
different way.
00:14:39
Manon Bolliger: So when you like, I mean, I can see the need
00:14:42
for that, but so let's say you're Manon Bolliger here, and
00:14:46
I want to thank you for taking actionable steps towards
00:14:49
engaging your healing journey and helping others discover
00:14:55
their path by watching, sharing, subscribing, and. Reviewing
00:15:00
these podcasts, every review and share helps spread the word on
00:15:06
these different perspectives and choices and options for healing.
00:15:11
And to thank you, I'd like to invite you to sign up to my free
00:15:15
seven sequence email tips on health and healing for everyday
00:15:19
life. And you can go to healerscafe.com. tips. Thanks so
00:15:25
much. You're you're writing cards for, let's say,
00:15:36
grandparent who's stuck, you know, is rejected by their
00:15:41
family because they they haven't they decided not to take these
00:15:46
shots or they're not allowed to go visit them because the
00:15:52
establishment has taken on the the belief that Fauci is the
00:15:58
science Whatever. So, how could you? How do you pray in the in
00:16:10
the positive way in a circumstance that you know so
00:16:15
many people lost their loved ones without being able to say
00:16:19
goodbye? You know, so many people died in hospitals due to
00:16:24
protocols that were unsuitable. That's the polite way of saying
00:16:30
criminal. But yeah, so yeah, go ahead. Give us examples of how
00:16:40
you transform from what what people would most likely say to
00:16:47
to coming from a place of love and giving a positive feeling.
00:16:53
Yeah.
00:16:53
Jenna Brocious: So there's seven different prayer cards. There's
00:16:56
peace, love, happiness, worthiness, grief, and then
00:17:00
travel. So there are different topics of cards, and I made them
00:17:04
small enough that they kind of fit into your back pocket or a
00:17:06
wallet. So if you're feeling anxious and a little
00:17:09
overwhelmed, it's kind of something that you can just pull
00:17:12
out. And it's just five sentences. They're very short
00:17:15
and sweet and brief. But I just want you to like recalibrate
00:17:18
yourself if you're feeling that feeling. And so words carry
00:17:23
intentions, and so I had the dictionary in front of me for
00:17:27
weeks going over words and what did they mean because I wanted
00:17:30
to be very intentional when I said immerse yourself in love,
00:17:35
carry this positive vibe with you, and so here I'll show you
00:17:39
one of them. So this is my worthiness prayer card, and it
00:17:45
says, "Dear God, help me find strength and love within myself.
00:17:49
I know I am worthy of a healthy lifestyle, great love, and
00:17:52
abundance. I am worthy of happiness. Anything I put my
00:17:55
mind to, I can accomplish. I am a valuable person, and I am
00:17:59
enough as I am. And I love that we can just give somebody
00:18:03
something so sweet and little, but it also can shift that
00:18:07
mindset if they're having a hard time.
00:18:14
Manon Bolliger: Okay, so and how do you deal with the negative
00:18:20
voice that exists in many people that says, "Well, that's what
00:18:27
I'm reading, but that's just BS because I'm not worth. I'm not
00:18:32
worthy.
00:18:33
Jenna Brocious: Right, that's a hard one. I mean, we all have
00:18:37
my. I have a mentor, and he called it the drunk monkey.
00:18:40
Don't let your drunk be talk to you,
00:18:43
Manon Bolliger: right?
00:18:43
Jenna Brocious: And I think that we all have that in us. It's
00:18:47
just, are you going to allow it to continue talking, or are we
00:18:50
going to shift our mindset into something else? So I always
00:18:53
suggest if we go down the drunk monkey hole, we got to pull
00:18:57
ourselves back out, and then we just got to think of something
00:18:59
positive. Is it the sunshine shining on your skin? Is it the
00:19:02
breeze blowing on you? Is it the flowers that are across the
00:19:06
street? Like, find something that can just bring you out of
00:19:09
that little moment or that dark hole, because life isn't always
00:19:13
easy, and it can be really, really hard, and that's okay.
00:19:17
But we have to be able to pull ourselves out of it, and I hope
00:19:20
that these cards kind of give people an opportunity to like,
00:19:23
oh, I am worthy. Okay, let's shift and let's go for a walk or
00:19:26
do something else or call a good friend. I just we got we can't
00:19:31
let ourselves sit there. We got to find a way to pull ourselves
00:19:33
out, and so that was the intention behind these cards.
00:19:38
Manon Bolliger: Yeah, so you're showing like, well, on some
00:19:42
level, people know they're worthy. On some level, I mean,
00:19:46
the people who would buy the cards, right? Like you know, not
00:19:50
everyone's the train
00:19:51
Jenna Brocious: to train content.
00:19:54
Manon Bolliger: Yeah, yeah,
00:19:54
Jenna Brocious: yeah.
00:19:55
Manon Bolliger: And and so the sort of the lesson is the the
00:19:57
the drunk thoughts. Or the what did what did he call
00:20:02
Jenna Brocious: them? The drunk monkey. The
00:20:03
Manon Bolliger: drunk monkey. Yeah, okay. Because there's many
00:20:06
ways of calling those thoughts, but it's really not to pay, not
00:20:10
to give them value, basically.
00:20:14
Jenna Brocious: Yeah, don't give it attention more than we
00:20:15
already have.
00:20:17
Manon Bolliger: Yeah, because in a sense they're automatic.
00:20:20
They're continuous, and and as Byron Katie says, that's their
00:20:23
job, right? So they're going to just keep coming, and so you can
00:20:29
either keep paying attention and going downhill, or you choose a
00:20:33
different path.
00:20:35
Jenna Brocious: Correct, and I do have to say, I feel like over
00:20:38
time it has become easier and easier for me to have those
00:20:40
positive thoughts, or to help out of that hole, because I just
00:20:45
it's it's become like second nature for me to be like we're
00:20:48
not going here today. We're gonna change the topic and move
00:20:51
on.
00:20:51
Manon Bolliger: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I see it more like a
00:20:54
chipmunk in a thing, and I'm like, oh, I'm not joining you. A
00:20:59
little deal. Yep, yeah, we'll go somewhere else. You know
00:21:02
Jenna Brocious: what I really found to help when I I have that
00:21:04
hamster wheel going in my head if something bad happened or you
00:21:08
know whatever it might have been. I find journaling that
00:21:12
story in my mind out on a piece of paper really allows me to
00:21:16
finally let go of it because then I'm not like having to
00:21:19
remind myself of it anymore because I put it on paper and it
00:21:23
exists somewhere, and I'm able to just move on.
00:21:26
Manon Bolliger: Right? Yeah, it's interesting because I mean
00:21:30
you're also cementing it on one level because you're committing
00:21:35
to the story, and usually the stories change. You know, as we
00:21:39
evolve and we change, we see it differently, etc. But um, but
00:21:44
it's true that it has a home. Then you know, it's like, yeah,
00:21:47
and you're not because it's true. We often remember details
00:21:51
that we want to sort out, and then we find ourselves in that
00:21:55
negative thinking pattern, right?
00:21:58
Jenna Brocious: Yes, 100%
00:22:00
Manon Bolliger: Yeah. So, what are the other subjects you have
00:22:04
besides the worthiness, travel?
00:22:08
Jenna Brocious: I have a grief prayer card because let's
00:22:10
Manon Bolliger: go with that one. I was going to say that
00:22:13
Jenna Brocious: a lot of loss that was happening, and I know
00:22:15
it can be hard to have the words to pray when you're so
00:22:19
heartbroken.
00:22:20
Manon Bolliger: Yeah.
00:22:21
Jenna Brocious: And so it says, "Dear God, I pray. And there's a
00:22:23
blank for the name, and it says, "We'll find peace and comfort in
00:22:27
you on this journey of grief. Grief, God, please take away the
00:22:31
pain and discomfort I feel in my heart with calmness and love.
00:22:35
May the lost be saved by your salvation. Sorry, and the
00:22:40
memories be sealed in our heart forever by your grace. We are
00:22:43
all saved, and I think those are just-it's a good prayer to have
00:22:47
if you're struggling and you do need that calmness and that
00:22:52
serenity that is really hard to find sometimes. I just thought
00:22:55
writing these cards with these words would give people a chance
00:22:58
to relax and just focus on What matters,
00:23:03
Manon Bolliger: right? Right. Yeah, I wonder because I know
00:23:07
you say sorry for the for the tears, but I wonder whether the
00:23:12
tears are not part of the the emotional commitment to the
00:23:20
statement. You know, because they they often say, the way the
00:23:24
brain works is if you don't feel it and you just read it, it
00:23:28
doesn't mean anything. Oh, I really like that. You actually
00:23:33
have to feel it. So, with you still feeling it, it's you're
00:23:38
still meaning it, right?
00:23:41
Jenna Brocious: Yeah. Five years later, I haven't picked up a
00:23:43
grief prayer card in a minute, and to have read that and have
00:23:46
that emotion is still shocking to me. When I wrote these, I was
00:23:50
sobbing at my dining room table
00:23:53
Manon Bolliger: writing, and then i I had to publish them and
00:23:56
just let it go because they were never going to be perfect for
00:23:58
me. But I had to, yeah, move on from that. Yeah, but I think
00:24:03
that's it because you know a lot of the putting things into
00:24:07
manifestation, you know, you can't just will it. You you've
00:24:11
got to live it. You've got to see it. You got to believe it.
00:24:15
You've got to experience it, even if it's in your mind,
00:24:19
because your your brain won't know the difference between a
00:24:23
dream or the truth, just like it can't tell the difference
00:24:26
between the past or the story. Which is why we're you know it's
00:24:33
very hard to count on your memory, right? You know, even
00:24:36
apparently to point out your murder, the murderer of somebody
00:24:41
on the scene-you're only 50% accurate. Like that is scary,
00:24:48
right?
00:24:48
Jenna Brocious: Very interesting. What our brain
00:24:50
allows and doesn't allow.
00:24:52
Manon Bolliger: Yeah, you know. So I mean, that's scary because
00:24:54
somebody's life is, you know, in your 50% judgment, right? Even
00:25:00
if you intend the very best, that's how not malleable, but
00:25:06
how impressionable our mind is, right? But it, but yeah, if we
00:25:13
work with emotions, since we have them, it works to our
00:25:18
benefit.
00:25:20
Jenna Brocious: Yes, and I'd have to say on my healing
00:25:22
journey, I feel like I've become more emotional as well. Maybe
00:25:26
because I opened up those emotions, or I've opened up my
00:25:29
heart a lot more. I just crying a little bit more, or just like
00:25:33
in a moment of pure joy and happiness, I'll cry for some
00:25:37
reason I don't know why, but my heart just like it Overwhelms
00:25:40
me.
00:25:43
Manon Bolliger: I mean that just from a frequency resonance point
00:25:46
of view, you're living at a like at a more embracing of life
00:25:53
level, right? You're not fighting it. You're just in it.
00:25:57
Well, fighting it doesn't
00:25:58
Jenna Brocious: get us anywhere. So we might as well just make
00:26:00
the best of it, enjoy, love it, and surround ourselves with
00:26:03
people that fill us up with love and joy, and are good and kind
00:26:07
people to us.
00:26:08
Manon Bolliger: Right, right, yeah.
00:26:10
Jenna Brocious: I had to. I moved away when I was 19 from my
00:26:13
hometown, and I knew if I didn't get out when I was young, that
00:26:16
I'd probably get stuck in the same patterns that everybody
00:26:18
else did in my small town. So I big risk and moved to Arizona,
00:26:23
and I don't regret it because I'm such a different person that
00:26:29
knows I'm so capable of overcoming so many things and
00:26:32
Manon Bolliger: stay
00:26:33
Jenna Brocious: on the other side.
00:26:36
Manon Bolliger: Well, so how old is your? It's a son, right?
00:26:40
Yeah, how old is Hina?
00:26:42
Jenna Brocious: He just turned 11. Time is no more time,
00:26:47
almost. It's wild.
00:26:48
Manon Bolliger: That's funny. It'll be funny when he hears
00:26:53
this or reads your your cards, you know, with a with an adult's
00:26:58
eye. You know, it'll be very interesting. Has he read them so
00:27:02
far?
00:27:03
Jenna Brocious: He has read my cards. While I was writing the
00:27:06
book, I was obviously sitting at my desk, sobbing, writing,
00:27:09
getting my heart out on these pages. And he came over to me
00:27:12
one day, and he's like, "Am I in your book? And I'm like, "You're
00:27:15
the reason I wrote the book. You're the reason. You are all
00:27:20
the pure love that like
00:27:23
Manon Bolliger: built
00:27:23
Jenna Brocious: up this thing within me that I had to explode
00:27:25
and get it out. So it's all about him, and he's the best
00:27:29
thing that's ever happened to me.
00:27:31
Manon Bolliger: And
00:27:32
Jenna Brocious: if it weren't for him, I don't know if I would
00:27:34
have ever like truly healed from my childhood. So very grateful
00:27:37
for that.
00:27:39
Manon Bolliger: Yes, interesting how things work. Yeah,
00:27:42
Jenna Brocious: one of the things I did in my book is I
00:27:44
because it starts from childhood, obviously, till
00:27:47
current day, and I broke down at the end of every chapter my own
00:27:52
lessons that I learned from that time. So you might read that
00:27:55
chapter and gain your own lessons, but I thought it was
00:27:57
important because I find it interesting. Sometimes people
00:28:00
can't get the real lesson out of the story, and I wrote at the
00:28:04
end of every chapter, kind of broke down the lessons that I
00:28:08
learned, hoping that they would have to not learn them
00:28:11
themselves and maybe read it and understand better.
00:28:14
Manon Bolliger: Right, right, fair enough. Okay, well, so do
00:28:17
you have any sort of last comments to share, or where
00:28:23
people could get these cards, or as our time is wrapping up here.
00:28:27
So I just thought I'd leave it to you at this point.
00:28:31
Jenna Brocious: You're so sweet. I would just say that if I can
00:28:36
make it out, anybody can make it out. If you truly want to heal,
00:28:40
anything is possible. You just have to give yourself that time,
00:28:45
and giving yourself that time is the biggest treasure I think you
00:28:48
can ever give yourself because it will open up such a new world
00:28:52
for you. My book is called Not My Problem Anymore. It's a
00:28:55
generational pattern book about how I broke my grandmother and
00:28:58
my mother's story. You can find it on Amazon, and then I have my
00:29:03
positive intention prayer cards. Those are on Etsy, and they also
00:29:06
come with a little stone. So if you just want to carry the stone
00:29:09
with you and rub the stone as a reminder for your prayer or your
00:29:12
intention, I kind of really thought through the process,
00:29:15
hoping to set people up for success.
00:29:18
Manon Bolliger: Great. Well, thank you very much for sharing
00:29:20
your time with us, and I'm sure people will be in touch when
00:29:25
they go to the podcast. You know, they there'll be comments
00:29:29
and any indications where to get hold of you as well.
00:29:34
Jenna Brocious: Perfect. Thank you.
00:29:36
Manon Bolliger: Okay. Thank you.
00:29:42
